Aron Wright - April 5, 2018
Middlesbrough vs Nottingham Forest
England – Championship
Date: Saturday, 7 April 2018
Kick-Off at 15:00 UK
Venue: Riverside Stadium (Middlesbrough).
Middlesbrough have only claimed two points in last three league outings. Whilst a draw and a narrow loss to the likes of Brentford and Wolverhampton wanderers can’t be regarded as massive failures, the slip-up against the rock-bottomed Burton Albion at Pirelli certainly has to. Boro are still inside the top six, but only a single point above Bristol City in seventh and they will be separate to return on the winning ways on Saturday afternoon when Nottingham Forest come to visit Riverside.
Luckily for Pulis, the Reds are a perfect opposition for his side at this stage. Nottingham have nowhere to go in the remaining six rounds as they are 12 points adrift of the danger area. Furthermore, they will head into this in poor spirits having failed to find the back of the net in four straight league affairs. They haven’t conceded much either, only two in Friday’s loss to Millwall.
Given that Boro have been enjoying a splendid run of form at Riverside lately, we can hardly see Nottingham bouncing back here. Tony Pulis’s side has won four on the bounce at home before falling narrowly to leaders Wolverhampton Wanderers in the previous home tie.
Middlesbrough have only won 13 of 60 head to head games with Nottingham Forest.
The Reds have won three of last four H2H ties.
The 2-1 was the scoreline in three of last four matches between the two teams.
Nottingham have only won 4 of 29 games at Riverside (as many as 16 draws).

The Reds have been struggling badly to produce in the final third recently. Given that Boro are in desperate need for points, we can hardly go past backing the home win at the odds of 1.55 here.
Since Nottingham have not scored a single goal in last four league games, we will alternatively go with Tony Pulis’ squad to keep a clean sheet at 2.00.
Middlesbrough to win @ 1.55
Middlesbrough to keep a clean sheet @ 2.00
