Marseille vs Montpellier
France Ligue 1
Date: Saturday 21st September 2019
Kick off at 16:30 UK/ 17:30 CET
Venue: Stade Velodrome (Marseille)
Marseille were involved in a fantastic game last weekend when they beat Monaco 4-3 away from home. What had been incredible is that they had been losing 2-0 and didn’t score just before half time, where they pulled another back and when the teams went in for the break the game was suddenly 2-2. The victory means that Marseille come into this game with 3 wins in a row and are now in 4th place.
Coach Andre Villas-Boas started with a defeat but since the opening weekend Marseille have been getting stronger and are unbeaten in 4 games. If they win at the weekend and other results go their way they would go top of the league.
Montpellier are three points behind Marseille and their form has been decent with just 1 defeat in their last four games. Last weekend was impressive as they beat Nice 2-1, what is interesting is that Marseille also beat Nice a few weeks ago by the same scoreline.
The one problem Montpellier has is that they are yet to win away this season and this is always such a difficult ground to come too. A win would easily break them into the top 10.

Marseille vs Montpellier: Prediction
This is historically a fixture where whoever is at home usually gets the win. Marseille have problems at the back but going forward they look deadly and seem to be getting better as the weeks go by.
Dimtri Payet scored last weekend and whilst the player is seen as a luxury one when his confidence is up he usually scores on consecutive weeks and he is worth investing in. Marseille are a great price to win this game too, and there is a lot of value here for the markets we have chosen.
