Manchester United vs Everton
England – Premier League
Date: Saturday, 6 February 2021
Kick-off at 20:00 UK/ 21:00 CET
Venue: Old Trafford.
The Red Devils just might be the most pumped up team in the whole of England at present. After being replaced at the top of the table by their arch-rivals, the Citizens, the team responded by completely destroying Southampton the last match-day.
They will now hope to reclaim their top spot as they are trailing by just three points behind Pep Guardiola’s men, and it needs to be noted that the 2018-19 champions are locking horns with none other than Liverpool this Saturday.
There’s good chance that City might drop points this weekend. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men need to take advantage of this scenario.
However, they will have to deal with the reinvigorated Toffees for that. Carlo Ancelotti’s men are placed sixth in the table at the moment, and importantly they have two matches in hand.
In addition, they have been in good form on the road as well. And as such, it would be hard for the Devils to keep a clean sheet at Old Trafford.
Be that as it may, the upper hand still goes to United, as they have a great h2h record against this opponent over the years, and also have been in much better form lately.
Manchester United vs Everton: Head-to-head (h2h)
- Solskjaer’s men had recorded eight of the former nine overall wins.
- The reverse fixture had ended in a 0-2 win for them.
- The hosts are unbeaten at this venue since 2013, and the defeat before that had come back in 1992.
- Six of the past ten encounters had goals from both teams.
Manchester United vs Everton Prediction
The Red Devils recorded a 9-0 win the last match-day at home, against Southampton. In the meantime, the Toffees registered a 1-2 win on the road the past game week, against Leeds.
Going on, Solskjaer’s men were unbeaten in 14 of their past 16 overall fixtures, and they had won six of their last eight appearances at home. They also have a terrific h2h record against this foe over the years.
On the other hand, their counterparts were winless in five of their past nine overall games. Taking into account these stats, expect Manchester United to post the three points on the board.
However, note that Ancelotti’s men have scored two or more goals in four of their former six overall games, and have failed to score away from home just once since July.
Likely, expect the BTTS bet to make good returns this weekend.
