Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is a long-time admirer of the midfielder, but is reluctant to pay such a huge sum for the 20-year old midfielder.

Adrien Rabiot who is contracted at PSG until 2019 has been left frustrated by the lack of playing time this season.

His appearances this season has been restricted due to the presence of established senior players like Blaise Matuidi, Marco Veratti, Thiago Motta and Javier Pastore and is forced to watch from the bench very often.

He made his intentions to leave Parc du Princess very clear in search for regular first team football by handing in a transfer request in December for a temporary move.

PSG head-coach Laurent Blanc criticized the player’s attitude and urges him to respect his contact with the club.

According to the report by Spanish publication Don Balon, United are trying to convince Rabiot that Old Trafford is the best place for his development as a footballer and the assurance of regular first-team football.

At the same time PSG are not in a hurry to get rid of the player who rose through their youth ranks and they believe he is a quality star for the future.

It remained to be seen how Louis Van Gaal use the French under-21 international at Manchester United as they already have Morgan Schneiderlin, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Marouane Fellaini, Ander Herrera and Michael Carrick, who can play in the same position.
