Manchester City aim their first ever UEFA Champions League quarter finals when they host Dynamo Kiev at the Etihad stadium on Tuesday night
The Citizens hold a healthy 3-1 lead after the first leg win at Kiev, thanks to goals from Sergio Aguero, David Silva and Yaya Toure. It will be a very tall ask for the Dynamo Kiev side who has never won a match in England.
Manchester City’s indifferent form was evident in the 0-0 draw against Norwich in the weekend. After the first leg in Kiev, City went to clinch the Capital One Cup by defeating Liverpool on penalties, but this was followed by a 3-0 thrashing from the same opponents away from home in the Premier League clash. The restored some pride next week by defeating relegation candidates Aston Villa, which was followed by another dismal performance in the 0-0 draw against another relegation threatened side Norwich. If they keep on winning alternate matches, Dynamo may suffer a heavy thrashing from the Manchester Blues.
Dynamo resumed their league campaign after the winter break which lasted over two months with a win over Dnipro on 5th March. This was followed by a 2-1 win at Karpaty on Friday evening which helped them stay 3 points clear off Shakhtar Donetsk at the top of Ukraine Premier League.

The Citizen’s head-coach Manuel Pellegrini could bring changes after the horror show at Norwich in the weekend. The likes of Bony and Jesus Navas could be relegated to the bench in favor for Raheen Sterling and Kelechi Iheanacho.

Manchester City vs Dynamo Kiev: Head-to-Head
The teams have previously met in the round of 16 of 2010/11 UEFA Europa League, Dynamo winning the tie on 2-1 aggregate after a 2-0 win at Kiev followed by a 1-0 City win back in Manchester.
The overall head-to-head record put the Citizens on front with 2 wins against 1 win by Dynamo, which could be extended after this tie.
Manchester City vs Dynamo Kiev: Prediction
Manuel Pellegrini is keen to bounce back with a win after the disappointment in the weekend. His team has won all of the home matches in Champions League season and he won’t be expecting anything less than that from his boys even though a draw will be enough to see them through.
Dynamo on the other hand have a poor record in England and they have a huge deficit to overturn on Tuesday and they are very unlikely to do so.
The match could end in a very comfortable win for Manchester City and we could witness 3 or more goals.
