Manchester City vs Brighton
England – Premier League
Date: Saturday, 31 August 2019
Kick-off at 15:00 UK / 16:00 CET
Venue: Etihad Stadium (Manchester).
Pep Guardiola’s men went back to winning ways last week following their frustrating 2- 2 draw against Tottenham on the road. The hosts thrashed Bournemouth by a 3-1 scoreline and would have scored a lot more as they finished the matchup with nineteen attempts at goal, five of which were right on target.
Brighton, on the other hand, have been heading south ever since their opening win and were handed their first defeat of the campaign when they squared up against the struggling Southampton. The squad let in two unanswered goals in the back of the net and tried to reply with not more than three feeble shots on target in that clash.
The visitors are by no means ready to take on a side that is as menacing as Manchester City, that too at their own den, and so the prospect of being at the losing end of a one-sided scoreline is certainly staring them in the face this weekend.

Manchester City vs Brighton Prediction
The home team bounced back in resounding fashion from the draw that they were held to and are currently back to their usual self with a convincing win in their most recent game. It also needs saying that City have been putting nothing but their best foot forward in their last six premier league games on home soil and are undefeated in their previous ten matches here as well.
Their counterparts for the weekend have an away record that is a stark comparison to the one that that Guardiola’s men are boasting of, and have tasted success just once in their last five outings in the league.
Given that Brighton have also lost without finding the back of the net in their previous two visits to this venue as well, Manchester City will, by all means, make light work of their foes in this one.
Additionally, City have not been shy in racking up their goals tally, and have been breaching their opponents in both halves for their last three games in a running. With Brighton sizing up to a fairly weak team in comparison as well, expect the Citizens to repeat the same on Saturday.
