Malmo host Dalkurd in a must-win match on Sunday afternoon at Swedbank Stadion. The reigning champions got off to a horrendous start to the new Allsvenskan campaign which brought parting ways with the head coach Magnus Pehrsson as a result. Daniel Andersson was appointed to be the new manager after the shocking 1-0 loss to relegation strugglers Trelleborg, but he had a very challenging task on his debut on the bench as the Blues had to play table-toppers Hammarby.
Andersson lost his maiden match on the bench, but the team showed plenty of positives in a 3-2 loss and a comfortable 2-0 victory over Hacken was no surprise whatsoever. The win definitely instilled the much-needed confidence into Malmo’s players who will head into Sunday’s clash with Dalkurd in much higher spirits aiming to pick up a three-pointer which could get help them break back into the top half of the league ladder.

This will be the first H1H encounter between these two sides in the league, following Dalkurd’s maiden appearance in the top flight of the Swedish football.
