Macedonia travel to Mardan Stadyumu in Antalya for their second friendly in Turkey, as they meet Azerbaijan just days after the clash against Finland in Belek, as Igor Angelovski’s men look to extend a five-game unbeaten streak earned since September. They’ve proven themselves a tough side to beat and we do hope for similar displays in Turkey.
Crveni Risovi have beaten Norway 2-0 in November and built on the convincing 4-0 win over Liechtenstein in their last World Cup Qualifiers outing (after holding off both Albania and Italy in two games beforehand). They’ve been rock-solid defensively and we feel Azerbaijan – who have struggled for consistent performances both at the back and in the attacking third – could have their hands full on the day. Macedonia have netted six in their last two outings and this will surely be a boost to the confidence of Igor Angelovski’s attackers.
Azerbaijan come into the match against Belarus on the back of a goalless draw against Moldova, which only ended a two-game losing streak – where they were beaten by both Czech Republic and Germany despite finding the net on both occasions. We’ve seen improvements on their end as well but will this be enough to hold off the tough Macedonians in Antalya?

Macedonia have bagged five wins in their six head-to-head clashes against Azerbaijan so far.
We’ve only seen one draw (1-1 back in 2001) along the way despite regularly seeing both sides get on the scoresheet.
Macedonia turned a 3-1 thriller their way in the last matchup in May 2016, with goals from Radeski, Pandev, and Nestorovski.

We will now back them to another win over the rivals and go for it at 2.31, which seems like more of a banker bet at this point.
We will also stick our necks out for a YES on Both teams to score at 2.10, after seeing such a contest in three of their last four head-to-head encounters.
