Lyon vs Nantes
France – Ligue 1
Date: Saturday 29th September 2018
Kick off at 19:00 UK/ 20:00 CET
Venue: Stade Olympique Lyonnais (Lyon).
It feels like Lyon’s season has started not in August but after the international games in September because now we are seeing the real Lyon that we know from last season. They have gone the last 3 games undefeated including winning their last 2 games and in the Champions League they beat Manchester City one of the favourites. They have also risen to 2nd place although because of their slow start they are 8 points behind PSG.
Lyon are firing on all cylinders right now after beating Marseille 4-2 and then in midweek they made light work of Dijon and won that game 3-0. Nabil Fekir their influential attacking midfielder is on form and there is a lot of quality in this team. At home they have won 3 and lost 1 from the 4 games played.
Nantes always seem to start off their Ligue 1 campaigns in poor form and that is what has happened again this time as they are in 19th place with just 1 win from their opening seven games.
They come into this game having lost two matches on the bounce to Lille and Nice and their away form is poor with 2 losses from the 3 games they have played. Their only win on the road came against Strasbourg in a 3-2 victory.

Lyon vs Nantes: Prediction
We can’t look past Lyon to get all three points but their odds on winning is very short at around 1/3. So our bet will be to see the home side winning at half time and full time.
Lyon have a lot of good players that can score and we like Martin Terrier who has been in form of late and he is good value to get on the score sheet. For smaller stakes we will back the full time correct score.
