Luton vs Leeds Prediction
Luton were deprived of any points for the fourth consecutive gameweek, after Reading brushed aside the hosts with a 3-0 scorecard. With ten losses to their name, no other team has admitted defeat more times than Luton so far, barring Stoke.
The hosts have not been faring any better at home either and have come out on top just thrice in their last nine games in all competitions. At the moment, Luton are on the brink of falling into the relegation zone and are sporting no more than a point’s advantage over Middleborough.
On the other hand, Leeds are unbeaten in their past five matchups. Their previous fixture at home saw them register a 2-1 victory over Blackburn, while on the road, they salvaged a point against Sheffield Wednesday after the clash ended in a stalemate. The away side are currently sitting third in the ladder, breathing down both Preston’s and West Brom’s neck for the top spot.
It is also worth mentioning that the away side have stumbled just twice in their outings so far. Furthermore, Leeds have not been at the losing end in their last two visits to this venue either. With Luton yet to get into their groove, the tag of favorites undoubtedly goes to Leeds this Saturday.
Additionally, Leeds have not been keen on racking up their goals tally, especially on the road. The guests have scored just twenty-one goals so far, which is the second least by a side in the top five.
Given that Leeds have also netted no more than a goal in each of their last three visits, it is well within reason to expect the visiting contingent to get the job done with no more than a goal or two at the most.
