English Premier League

Venue: Anfield (Liverpool).
Liverpool have their main focus on Champions League after knocking out Manchester City in the all England affair on Tuesday. Still, they have much to do in the English Premier League to remain in the top four or to keep pressure on Manchester United for the second spot.
Following a goal-less draw in the Merseyside derby at Everton last week, a potential defeat was forecasted in the midweek’s Champions League tie against Manchester City. But, Klopp’s men picked up from where they left off a week ago and secured the tie with a stunning 2-1 win at the Etihad.
Mo Salah, who was rumored to be injured was surprisingly back in the starting eleven and continued his scoring form by netting the equalizing goal for the Reds. The Egypt international has now reached 40 goals for the club in all competitions, with 29 of those in the Premier League. He will be eyeing to pull clear off Harry Kane on Saturday, who has 25 in his bag.
Bournemouth have become the kind of draw specialists in recent months and bagged their 4th stalemate in 6 games against Crystal Palace last weekend. It is not a bad run at all as the slow accumulation of points helped them pull 10 points clear off the relegation zone. They were strong favorites to go down until December. Since then they lost 2 of their 14 games.
Also, the away record look decent for the Cherries, as they were beaten just once in 6 games. Again 4 of them are draws along with a memorable 3-0 win at Chelsea. However, they has lost without scoring in away trips to 5 other teams sitting inside top six.
Liverpool vs Bournemouth: Head-to-head
Overall 8 meetings between the sides in all competitions, all happened since 2014 and 5 of them are in the English Premier League. Liverpool won 6 of them, drew 1 and lost 1.
Still, the Cherries surprised Liverpool over the two Premier League games of last season. First they made a remarkable comeback from 1-3 down to win it 4-3 with a plethora of goals in the final quarter of the hour at their home turn.
They return trip to Anfield is memorable as well with a late goal earning them a 2-2 draw, having lost the previous two trips by the same 1-0 margin.
Liverpool vs Bournemouth: Prediction
Liverpool are a team on peak form and they will be fired up following the memorable victory over Manchester City in the Champions League. Lot of changes are not expected from Klopp to the playing eleven as well, mainly because of the big injury list. With Anfield being a fortress for the Reds, this match could end in nothing less than another home win. If you think Bournemouth are a tough team to beat as they lost just twice since December; a close look will reveal that lost all games against teams sitting in the top four so far.
