Liverpool vs Aston Villa
English Premier League
Date: Saturday 10th April 2021
Kick off at 15:00 UK/ 16:00 CET
Liverpool have lost 6 games in a row at home coming into this match and it is an incredible statistic that nobody could have expected after they went 65 games at home without losing.
The poor record completely derailed their league title bid, however some very good away results means that the Reds could still claim a top four finish. They underlined that determination after they beat Arsenal 3-0 last weekend and they have 49 points and come into this game in 7th place.
Liverpool are only 3 points from 4th and the contest to get into the top 4 could be epic with so many teams fighting for that place. In midweek Liverpool lost 3-1 away to Real Madrid in the Champions League quarter final which was a blow for the club.
Aston Villa beat Fulham 3-1 last weekend to keep their Europa League hopes alive for now. Although Dean Smith’s side have fallen 5 points adrift of the top six they do have a game extra to play over some of their rivals. Their latest win was a good welcome and ended a 5 game winless streak.
On the road Villa have won 7 of their 15 games and have a better record away from home. Though they have won just 1 game from their last 4.

Liverpool vs Aston Villa: Prediction
Make no mistake even though Liverpool have a very important fixture coming up with Real Madrid manager Jurgen Klopp will be taking this game very seriously and Liverpool need to start winning games if they want to participate in next season’s Champions League.
Also of course one could say that Liverpool’s decline this season started against Aston Villa in that incredible game when they lost 7-2. So Liverpool will want to avenge that result.
Liverpool’s form at home is very poor but that won’t continue and we do expect them to win this game. They will want to start fast and get this game done and dusted and to be fair Villa are a good side on their day but have really been struggling in the past few months and Liverpool should have too much for them.
