Liverpool grabs Klavan, Arsenal in Icardi talks, Conte wants Benfica defender

Liverpool confirmed the capture of Augsburg defender Ragnar Klavan for an undisclosed fee.

The 30-year-old Estonia International is expected to serve as backup to injured duo Mamadou Sakho and Joe Gomez as well as Tiago IIori who has joined Portugal Olympic team.

Klavan will also fill the shoes of departed center-half Kolo Toure, Speaking to the Reds official website he said : “I’m really honoured to be part of this amazing club, this amazing team.

“It’s hard to put it into words because it’s been a dream of mine for 22 years to come to the Premier League and be a part of this amazing club, Liverpool.

“The Premier League is the most attractive league in the world and you always have amazing players here. This is the home of football.”

Arsenal have entered talks with Maurio Icardi’s representatives over a possible move to Arsenal.

Reports from the North London club indicate that Icardi’s wife and agent Wanda Nara is in London to finalise the deal.

A £40m with £100, 000 per week is understood to be the offer from the Gunners.

Antonio Conte is reportedly interested in Benfica defender Victor Lindelof to strengthen his back-line.

Chelsea have notify Benfica about their, €30m is his buy-out clause.

The 22-year-old raised through Benfica ranks and made 16 appearances last season.
