Molde will be searching for their maiden win of the season on Sunday afternoon when they visit Arasen Stadion to take on Lillestrom in the last game of Matchday No 3.
The reigning champions got off to a slow start to the new campaign. Their main problems occur in the final third because a single-goal return from the opening two affairs is well below par for the champs.
Molde have sold their main striker David Datro Fofana to Chelsea and they have signed Veton Berisha who returned to his home country after spending last season in Sweden.
Berisha is an experienced and high-profile striker with ten caps for the Norwegian national team but he is yet to deliver the goods for the new team in 2023.
Berisha will fancy his chances of bagging the first goal of the season here against Lillestrom whose defensive line is anything but reliable at the beginning of the campaign.
Geir Bakke’s men have allowed five goals in the inaugural two matches against Viking and Stromsgodset.
Lillestrom look much better on the opposite end as they have notched at least two goals in ten of the last eleven games across competitions (including NM Cupen games and preseason exhibitions).
Bakke’s troops will go into this in high spirits after a 4-3 comeback victory over Stromsgodset last weekend.
