Leicester vs Chelsea
England – Premier League
Date: Tuesday, 19 January 2021
Kick-off at 20:15 UK/ 21:15 CET
Venue: King Power Stadium.
The Foxes have climbed to the third spot, and with Liverpool struggling to even score goals, they would be eager to extend their lead over the defending champions. They do have their work cut out for them this game week though, as they are pitted against the Blues.
However, note that Frank Lampard’s men have made a bad name for themselves with them failing to perform in several big games this season. Almost all of their wins this campaign had come against some of the weakest squads in the competition.
And Brendan Rodgers’s men are anything but weak, and moreover they are at home as well. The season has entered its second half, and teams are kicking into higher gears. Contrary to usual, there are several in-form teams this time around, that have set their sights on a CL ticket. All top-tier teams are under pressure to deliver.
By all means, expect a high score in what will ultimately be a fierce encounter. Still, expect Leicester to have an upper hand due to their overall better form, and the struggles of Chelsea.

Leicester vs Chelsea Prediction
The Foxes recorded a 2-0 win the last match-day at home, against Southampton. In the meantime, Lampard’s men registered a 0-1 win on the road against Fulham.
Going on, Rodgers’s men had won seven of their preceding ten overall match-ups, and they had remained unbeaten in nine of these games. They are also on a three-fixture winning run.
On the other hand, their counterparts were winless in six of their last nine overall matches, and they had lost three of their former four road trips.
If not for their win against the struggling Fulham, the Blues would have been winless away from home for over than a month.
Likely, expect Leicester to have an edge this Tuesday, and to win at least one of the halves.
Going on though, note that Lampard’s men have a phenomenal h2h record against this rival, and despite all their shortcomings at the moment, they still are one of the best in England.
Moreover, they are desperate at the moment as well. By all means, count on them to find the back of the net at least once this Tuesday.
