Leicester City have confirmed the signing of England Under-20 international Demarai Gray from Birmingham City for an undisclosed fee.
The 19-year winger has signed a four and half year contract with the club which will keep him at King Power Stadium until 2020.
“It’s been my dream to play in the Premier League since I started playing football so I’m very happy to join the Club. Gray said while speaking to Foxes Player HD.
“It’s a great Club. The facilities are great and for a player like me it’s an ideal place for me to improve. Meeting all the staff here, it seems like a nice family place, so I think that’s perfect for me.
“You can see how well the team has been doing this year and I watch a lot of football so I can see that the way Leicester City play suits my style.
“I only hear good things about Leicester and I’m looking forward to starting.”
Gray has made over 72 appearances for Birmingham City in the Championship since making his professional debut in 2013-14 season. He was Birmingham City Academy Player of the Season in and Football League Young Player of the Month in December 2014.
Gray is expected to join Claudio Ranieri’s first team squad for his first training session on Tuesday ahead of Sunday’s trip to Tottenham Hotspur in the FA Cup Third Round.
