2016/ 17 Champions League Play-Off,
Date: Tuesday, 23 August, 2016.
Kick-Off: 19:45 UK,
Venue: Polish Army Stadium (Warsaw).
Legia Warsaw sit on a two goal lead when they welcome Irish club Dundalk for the second leg of the Champions League play-off on Tuesday.
After a quite first half Nemanja Nikolics broke the deadlock for the Polish outfit in the 56th minute. Dundalk were hardly convincing in the fight back and were again punished in the dying seconds of the match by Aleksandar Prijovic to put Legia into a formidable position for the return leg at home.
Legia’s overall form this season is not that impressing. They are 11th in the Polish League after managing just 1 win from the 6 5 matches played. They were also eliminated from the domestic cup Gornik Leczna, a side whose only win in the league so far is against Legia.
Dundalk have their three league games postoned and Tuesday’s game will be their first after the defeat against Legia in Dublin. They still top their league table, but lost in 4 of their last 5 matches in all competitions.
