Leganes vs Levante
Spanish La Liga
Date: Monday, 4 March 2019
Kick-Off at 20:00 UK/ 21:00 CET
Venue: Estadio Municipal de Butarque.
Leganes have held off Valencia at Estadio Municipal de Butarque last week and proven their character in front of the home crowd once again, despite struggles to produce on the road along the way, now hosting Levante in hope they can build on such performances as well as their mid-table spot.
Lega earned six wins and six draws in 12 home outings since mid-September and they’ll now be desperate to build the unbeaten streak, with an absolute need for points to join the top 6 chase and now drop to the danger zone instead.
Levante, on the other hand, outclassed Celta in a 1-4 win in Vigo on their last trip but failed to build on it once again, despite a tough challenge put ahead of Real Madrid in Valencia – where they suffered a 1-2 loss as Benzema and Bale both converted from the spot. Frogs have struggled to impress on the road and only ending a nine-game winless streak midway through February will be more worrying ahead of the tough trip to Butarque.
Leganes vs Levante: Head-to-head
Levante bagged a comfortable 2-0 home win over the rivals earlier this term.
Leganes haven’t beaten Levante since 2002 (when they earned a 1-2 win in Valencia).
Frogs have earned five wins and two draws in seven head-to-head clashes since then.
Leganes vs Levante: Prediction
We will now back Leganes to prove their character in front of the home fans once again and we’ll go for them to finally end the lengthy winless streak in head-to-head clashes, sticking with a Home win at a good-looking 1.95.
We feel they’ll have to capitalize on Levante’s inability to score goals in narrow contest looming, though, as we now also back Under 2.5 goals FT at 1.72. We have seen two or fewer goals in four of the last five head-to-head encounters too, which proves to the same point just as much.
Leganes vs Levante: Bet Tips
Home win @ 1.95
