Leganes vs Las Palmas
Spain – La Liga
Date: Saturday, 24 February 2018
Kick-Off at 17:30 UK
Venue: Estadio Municipal de Butarque (Leganes).
Leganes were one of the most pleasant surprises in the first half of the season in Primera Division. However, their form has seen a massive slide of late and the Legionaries will head into Saturday’s home clash with Las Palmas on the back of four consecutive losses across competitions.
The Canaries are a perfect opposition for arresting such slump, but the visitors will be highly motivated to try and take advantage of Leganes’ negative momentum to get previous points in the relegation battle. The team led by Paco Jemez could have escaped the red zone had they saved the one-goal cushion against Sevilla seven days ago, but the Andalusians have managed to find two late goals to win 1-2 at the end and leave the Canaries two points shy of the safe zone.
Even though Jemez’s side has shown some promising signs in their most recent set of fixtures, their performances on the road remain the biggest threat to the saving of the elite class status. Las Palmas have been dreadful travellers for a while now and they have the league low two points won in last ten games away from Estadio de Gran Canaria.
Leganes vs Las Palmas: Head-to-head
As many as 10 of 21 H2H meetings between these two teams have ended without a winner.
Both teams have scored in only two of last six H2H matches between these two rivals.
Leganes have won three and drawn one of last four meetings with the Canaries.
Leganes vs Las Palmas: Prediction
Las Palmas have failed to find the back of the net in last five matches on the road. The hosts, on the other side, have only bagged one in last five games in all competitions.
Given that their H2H meetings have not produced some goal fests, it’s clear that the Under 2.5 goals FT is the way to go from the biting perspective of view.
We’ll also shoot for the draw set at the odds of 3.50.
