Leeds United vs Rotherham United
English League Championship
Date: Saturday, 18th August 2018
Kick-off at 15:00 UK/ 16:00 CET
Venue: Elland Road (Leeds).
Leeds United hosts Rotherham United on Saturday trying to leapfrog Middlesbrough for the first place in the EFL Championship.
Leeds are looking outstanding this season. They started well under Christiansen last year but their form suddenly dropped resulting in his sacking.
The team eventually finished the season with Heckingbottom but was nowhere near the playoffs.
This year Marcelo Bielsa looks to have found the inner spark of this team. United played well and scored a lot in their opening games and may be heavily involved in the top 6 mix.
Leeds didn’t have the easiest fixtures in the start of this season but managed to get past Stoke and Derby in an impressive manner. The 3-1 over Stoke and even more impressive 1-4 victory over Frank Lampard’s Ramms.
All this followed by a 2-1 victory over Bolton in the Carabao Cup puts United in the mix for top 6 finish.
Rotherham immediately returned to the EFL Championship following their relegation 2 seasons ago.
The team looks a bit shaken in the first round against Brentford but managed to get back on track.
The 5-1 defeat at Brentford suggested another long a tough season for the Millers but the 1-0 victory over Ipswich returned some courage to Warne’s boys.
Further they managed to get past Wigan in the Carabao Cup for some more boost on their confidence.
