Gandzasar vs Lech Poznan
Europa League First qualifying round
Date: Thursday, 19th July 2018
Kick-off at 16:00 UK/ 17:00 CET
Venue: Vazgen Sargsyan Republican Stadium (Yerevan).
Lech carry a solid 2-0 win to the second leg, courtesy of first half strikes from Danish forward Christian Gytkjaer.
We have seen Lech Poznan scoring many goals in the pre-season and their solid defense will give Gandzasar a tough time to cope with.
Lech Poznan picked it up through the pre-season and now look very motivated to impress in the Europa League qualifiers.
The Kolejorz have beaten Warta Poznan, Hapoel Be’er Sheva, and Podbrezova since mid-June and held AEK Larnaca to a goalless draw on Saturday.
They’ve thus kept three clean sheets in four games and Ivan Djurdjevic will want to build on such performances, which promises a rock-solid challenge.
Gandzasar struggled to pick it up over the pre-season and earned just two draws in their last five outings, with three losses also on the record.
They’ve been regularly scoring goals and come into the match on the back of a 1-1 draw against Botev Vratsa, but finding the net in Poznan could prove a lot tougher task.
