Lecce vs Torino: Match Preview
Lecce ended their losing run with a positive 1-1 draw against favored Inter Milan but went back to their old ways and suffered a heavy 0-3 defeat against fellow newcomers, Hellas Verona.
The southern outfit are in dreadful run of form having lost five of their last six league matches with a combined goal difference of 3:13. With three wins, seven draws and eleven defeats so far, the Salentini are sixteenth in the standings, one point above the pit.
Fabio Liverani’s boys are yet to win a home game this season as they posted five draws and five losses at the Via Del Mare, averaging 1.10 goals scored per bout and shipping 1.80 in return. Lecce have collected three points from last five home fixtures (3D, 2L).
The Granata go into this match on the back of a 2-4 AET defeat at San Siro to AC Milan in the Coppa Italia quarter-finals. Prior to that, Walter Mazzarri’s side suffered their worst-ever home defeat, losing 0-7 to rampant Atalanta.
Utterly humiliated, Toro will be hoping to turn their season around, starting from Sunday. With the win-draw-loss record of 8-3-10, they’re sitting at twelfth position, four points behind Europa League chasing sides.
Torino have logged four wins, one draw and five defeats away from home, scoring and conceding 1.60 goals per match. They have earned ten points from their last five road games (3W, 1D, 1L).

Lecce vs Torino: Prediction
This has to be the trickiest game of the round. Anything can happen, so I will avoid 1X2 market and focus on something else.
I will pick more goals to be scored in the second half as 20 of 29 goals (69%) at Via Del Mare have been scored after the break and that was a winning bet in 80 percent of Lecce’s home matches.
As for my second pick, I’m going with goals on both ends. Torino have netted at least one goal in each of their last five road games and they’re clearly unstable at the back right now – the Salentini will fancy their chances of getting on the scoresheet.
