The weekend Premier League witnessed a lot of drama; Hat-trick Heroes, big margin trashing and important away wins.
Manchester United succeeded in breaking the Goodison park jinx and Arsenal continued there winning ways, Manchester City remained top of the table, Chelsea seem to have found there feet and Newcastle grabbed there first premier league win in a sensational trashing of Norwich City.
Lets see the players who made into LeagueLane’s team of the week.
1. Simon Mignolet (Liverpool)
Mignolet was outstanding against Tottenham and he made sure the new managers first game was not ruined by a defeat. He put in a superb performance, saving superbly Clinto Njie’s effort and Harry Kane’s effort in each half thus he was a lot busier than Hugo Lloris in the opposite side.
2. Laurent Koscielny (Arsenal)
While Arsenal’s attackers took the Credit, Laurent Kosceilny made sure he kept Troy Deeney and Odion Ighalo Quiet throughout the game and thus keeping another clean sheet.
3. Marcos Rojo (Manchester United)
After missing much of first team football at Old Trafford, Rojo put in a superb performance and got involved in two of the goals, he joined attack when necessary and defended in a lovely manner.
4. Nathaniel Clyne (Liverpool)
His performance stood out against spurs, making sure there were no loop holes from his side and joined attacks when necessary but unfortunately, Liverpool only grabbed a point from the game.
5. Carl Jenkinson (West Ham)
He definitely showed that his performance last week at Sunderland wasn’t a fluke, scored the opener against Crystal palace and showed he’s ready for success.
6. Ander Herrera (Manchester United)
Ander Herrera was full of confidence as Manchester United break the Goodison park Jinx with a 0-3 win against Everton. Herrera was paired with Schneiderlin and Sshweinsteiger for the first time in league this season and he showed what he is made of, grabbing United’s second goal and providing assist for Rooney’s goal.
7. Morgan Schneiderlin (Manchester United)
Schneiderlin showed good compusure and energy against Everton, attempting 70 passes and completed 97.1% of the passes and he grabbed his first goal for United with a nice finish.
8. Moussa Sissoko (Newcastle United)
Thou he sometimes seems lazy, Sissokho set up Georgina Wijnaldum for the opening goal and putting in a fine cross which lead to Wijnaldum’s second goal before giving another assist to Ayoze Perez who scored the Magpies third goal.
9. Raheem Sterling (Manchester City)
Raheem Sterling steered Manchester City to a superb 5-1 victory against Bournemouth at Etihad stadium with his first half hat-trick and thus grabbing his first career hat-trick And taking his goal tally for City to 5 in 10 matches
10. Georginio Wijnaldum (Newcastle United)
Wijnaldum helped Newcastle win their first premier league game of the season against Norwich City as as scored four times in an eight goal thriller (6-2), his fourth goal was a sensational 25-yard strike, which left the opposing team stunned
11. Jamie Vardy (Leicester City)
Jamie Vardy produced the finest form of his career after he helped Leicester City to a second half comeback with a brace and pulled a dramatic 2-2 draw to secure an unlikely point. Vardy has now scored nine premier League gaols this season and tops the goal scoring chat.
