Having already lost by significant margins, even with home advantage under their belt, Latvia have no reason to be optimistic about salvaging even a consolation goal against Poland this Thursday.

Latvia vs Poland Prediction
The hosts are without a doubt the worst team in the group and have been nothing short of a punching bag for their foes so far. With zero wins from their last seven games, Latvia can slump no further down the table as they have hit rock bottom in the table.
Their last clash at home saw them lose by a 2-0 scoreline against North Macedonia, prior to which Austria thrashed six unanswered goals past them on the road. The home team have not been showing any conviction whatsoever in both attack and defense, and have so far conceded twenty-one goals while retaliating just once.
On the other hand, Poland are enjoying the view at the top of the table. The visitors have a two-point cushion over second-placed Slovenia and have admitted defeat just once in their last seven games. It is also worth mentioning that the guests have tasted success in two of their last three outings, that too with a clean sheet intact.
Additionally, the Polish outfit have been faring well against this foe in their previous clashes and have not lost in any of their last three meetings. Given the dismal form that the hosts are on at the moment too, it will need nothing short of a miracle for Latvia to get the better of Poland in this one.
Hence, count on Poland to be on top at the break and to walk away with all three points at the last blast of the whistle.
As mentioned previously, Latvia have hardly made an impact in the final third. Taking into account that the hosts have been losing without finding the back of the net in their last five games in running, count on Poland to win without being breached.
