Kosovo vs Madagascar
Date: Saturday, 24 March 2018
Kick-Off at 18:00 UK
Venue: Stade Jean Rolland (Franconville).
Kosovo have celebrated the fourth victory in their shot history under FIFA in November last year when they’ve bagged four goals in a seven-goal thriller against Latvia. They will be looking to back up such success and keep up with the good form on Saturday evening when they are to face African side Madagascar in a friendly on the French soil (Stade Jean Rolland in Franconville).
Madagascar are king of an enigma for football fans around the globe. They are led by the French manager August Raux who has failed to go past Senegal in the second round of African WC Qualifications. Madagascar did manage to pull off a 2-2 draw in the first leg in front of their fans back in November 2015, but Senegal confirmed the gulf in quality winning the reverse fixture 3-0 on home soil.
Raux’s men did not do very well in the African Cup of Nations Qualifications either where they’ve only collected three points ending at the very foot of the Group B standings (against Congo DR, Central African Republic and Angola).
Kosovo, on the other side, got off to a dream start to their maiden campaign in the WC Qualifications holding the likes of Finland to a 1-1 draw on the road. However, the team has lost nine on the bounce ever since to finish the group with a single point in ten outings. We have to mention that the team still has a perfect score under the new manager Muharrem Sahiti who has led Kosovo to the mentioned 4-3 victory over Latvia in November last year.
This will be the first ever head to head clash between Kosovo and Madagascar.
Neither of the two sides has reasons to be proud of their defensive lines and we’d not be surprised to see goals at both ends here.
The bookies pay 1.70 odds for this pick. As for the outcome, we’ll shoot for the draw at 3.40.
