Kilmarnock vs Celtic
Date: Sunday, 23rd September 2018
Kick-off at 15:00 UK/ 16:00 CET
Venue: Rugby Park (Kilmarnock).
Kilmarnock got their second defeat of the season at Easter Road as the game ended 3-2 in favour of Hibernian. This week they have a tougher task when they host Celtic at home on Sunday afternoon.
Kilmarnock were quite unlucky last week as they slipped 12 minutes before the full time whistle after a first half comeback. The statistics showed the game were fairly equal as they had 48% of total possession and even more shots on target (5) against Hibernian (4).
Kilmarnock were already 2 goals down by 23 minutes as Mallan and Gray scored for the home side. However, they started their comeback in 26th minute and were level before half-time as they got another goal in the 4th minute. They couldn’t keep up as they conceded a penalty which was carefully converted by Kamberi and they went home with no point.
This week they have to put in more effort than they did last week as their visitors Celtic are eager to catch up with Hearts. Celtic will enter this game from a 1-0 win in Midweek Europa League home game against Rosenborg.
This is a huge boost to their confidence but they still have a fatigue disadvantage playing a team that had 1 week to prepare. The most important point we want to highlight here is the staunch defence Celtic has built since match day 3.
Celtic has kept clean sheets in their last 4 competitive games, they have only conceded twice in the 5 Premiership games played. However, they are not the scoring spree side, having netted only 5 goals in the Premiership also. With the early pace set by Hearts, Celtic should be a little bit pressured as they have some catching up to do.

Celtic are huge favorites in this game and they also should be in high confidence having won in the midweek. Not minding fatigue issues, we expect them to win this game and keep up with the pressure in the table.
Considering their recent strong defence, we don’t expect the game to be a high scoring one, so we go for an under 2.5 Match Goals
