Juventus vs Udinese: Prediction
After sharing the spoils with Sassuolo and losing their first league game of the season to Lazio (1-3), the Bianconeri got their rebound win away at Leverkusen (2-0) in a meaningless Champions League game.
For whatever reason, Maurizio Sarri opted not to rest some of the big guns even though they have three games coming up in the space of ten days. They were sluggish yet again, especially in the first half, but everything changed when Dybala came off the bench and provided two assists for Ronaldo and Higuain.
Juventus have recorded six wins and one draw at Allianz Stadium, scoring 2.14 goals per match and conceding 1.14 per tie. Five of their seven home games had Over 2.5 and BTTS – Yes.
Chiellini, Bentancur, Khedira are on the injury list; Cuadrado, Pjanic are suspended for ‘Vecchia Signora’.
The Zebrette managed to avoid the defeat in last week’s fixture against Napoli (1-1). Luca Gotti’s men had a lead at half-time thanks to Lasagna’s third goal of the season, but the guests got their act together after the break and levelled the score. The Azzurri kept pushing until the very end, but to no avail.
With the win-draw-loss record of 4-3-8, Udinese are 16th in the standings, four points clear off the relegation zone.
The Sunday’s guests have one win, one draw and five defeats away from Friuli, averaging 0.71 goals scored per bout, whilst shipping 2.14. They’ve allowed 5 goals on their last two road games.
Injured duo Samir and Jajalo will miss the trip to Turin.
Juve are expected to dominate this match from start to finish and make proper amends for last week’s disappointing loss at Stadio Olimpico. I’m confident they will deliver against poor side like Udinese, but odds are way too low for my taste, so I must make some adjustments.
For example, odds for hosts to score in both halves are quite nice and i’ll take it. I can see them netting at least one in the first half and sealing a win after the break – something they should’ve done against Neroverdi.
With a 3-0, 3-1 hunch, I’ll take Over 2.5 and Paulo Dybala to score anytime.
