Juventus vs Sassuolo
2018/19 Italian Serie A.
Date: Sunday 16 September 2018
Kick-Off: 14:00 UK/ 15:00 CET,
Venue: Allianz Stadium (Turin).
Juventus are already on top of Serie A after just three games with three wins and will be looking to make it four wins as they take on Sassuolo on Sunday. However, they are taking on a Sassuolo side who have done surprisingly well so far and are actually the top scorers in the league so far, with eight goals versus Juve’s seven.
With Juventus taking on Valencia in the Champions League next week, Massimiliano Allegri could have to rotate his squad. Sassuolo will hope that the Bianconeri will be focused on their upcoming European fixture to try to snatch a good result and possibly end Juve’s perfect start to the season.
Unlike last season where Sassuolo struggled for goals, they are not having that problem this time around. They netted two on the road and took down Inter in their first home game of the season. Signing Kevin-Prince Boateng has proven to be a great deal as he has netted in his past two games and he’d certainly hope to make it three straight matches at the Allianz Stadium this Sunday.
Juventus have conceded in two of their three games against Parma and Chievo, only managing a clean sheet against Lazio. The fact that they have a Champions League fixture coming up means that Sassuolo could nick a goal nonetheless.
Meanwhile, Juve’s big signing Cristiano Ronaldo will also be hoping to end his goal drought – as will be the fans. Although Mario Mandzukic has been scoring, let’s face it – fans are really looking forward to seeing the Portuguese superstar find the back of the net sooner rather than later and his arrival is a big reason why Serie A has suddenly gotten a lot more bandwagon observers this season.

Juventus vs Sassuolo: Prediction
Sassuolo are looking good to nick a goal due to their strong start, but let’s not forget they were humiliated last time they arrived here in Turin. They are taking on the reigning champs Juventus who have scored 15 goals in their last four meetings with the Neroverdi and they should be able to preserve their perfect start to the season ahead of their Champions League tie next week.
