Juventus vs Pescara
2016/17 Italian Serie A.
Date: Saturday, 19 November 2016
Kick-Off: 19:45 UK,
Venue: Juventus Stadium (Turin).
Juventus will have a golden opportunity to extend their lead at the top of the table as they welcome struggling Pescara to Juventus Stadium on Saturday evening.
The Bianconeri will be missing Paulo Dybala, Kwadwo Asamoah, Andrea Barzagli, and likely Giorgio Chiellini for this fixture. That normally would worry any coach, but Massimiliano Allegri’s concerns will be for their upcoming Champions League campaign. Not for the next match immediately on their menu against a team who have yet to win a game on the pitch.
This could see him perhaps hand a surprise call-up for 16-year-old promising talent Moise Kean. Should that happen, the Italian-born youngster of Ivorian heritage would make history as the first player born in the new millennium to feature in Serie A.
As Juventus flirt with making history, things are not so rosy for their opponents. Unfortunately for Pescara, they have failed to capitalize on their 3-0 administrative-handed win over Sassuolo. The Delfini are on a four match losing streak. And they come into this game having being trounced by Empoli 4-0. That’s a bad enough result, but here’s another highly discouraging and humiliating fact: The Azzurri had scored just two goals prior to that game.
As such, it goes without saying that Massimo Oddo’s side are totally devoid of confidence at this point. During this miserable run, they have picked up one point from their past five games and have scored just twice during that period. For all intents and purposes, this will be a serious case of damage control for Pescara whilst Juventus may use this to field some less-often used players in preparation for bigger matches looming on the horizon.

Juventus vs Pescara: Prediction
Nine. That is the number of goals Pescara have scored, which is the second-worst in the league. Meanwhile, that also happens to be the number of goals Juventus have conceded, meaning that they have the meanest defense in the top flight. The Bianconeri may be missing a few key players, but they have all three points in the bag here. This is as much a David vs. Goliath clash as Serie A fans will see this weekend, and will be a good chance for Juve players to pad their goal-scoring stats.
