Juventus vs Napoli
Italian Serie A.
Date: Saturday 29 September 2018
Kick-Off: 17:00 UK,
Venue: Allianz Stadium (Turin).
After the Derby della Capitale ends, it’s on to part two of another juicy double-header as Napoli travel to face Juventus on Saturday evening. Last season, the Partenopei beat the Bianconeri at this same ground to blow the Scudetto race back open, but they couldn’t capitalize on it.
Can they close the gap on La Vecchia Signora, who have won all six of their games which bodes well in their favor?
Every time Juventus have won their first six games, they have managed to win the Scudetto. That does not look well already for their rivals, which includes Napoli, and Carlo Ancelotti’s men will be determined to make sure that the reigning champs don’t make it another domestic triumph this May.
This will be a real test of Juve’s actual capabilities, as the Bianconeri really have not been tested much. Yes, they have won seven straight games across all competitions, but the only tricky opponents they actually faced was Lazio and perhaps against Valencia when they went down to ten men following Cristiano Ronaldo’s controversial expulsion.
In both instances, they won 2-0. They did face a bit more trouble than expected against Chievo and Parma on the road, and Sassuolo tried to cause problems, but largely Juve were in control of the game.
For Napoli, they will want to test their mettle against arguably the strongest side in Italy. The Partenopei have faced some tough tests already, having to come from behind to beat Lazio and AC Milan, but were shockingly beaten 3-0 by Sampdoria.
Ancelotti is still working out his new system, but Napoli have started to improve since that huge setback and this will indeed be a true test of their own progress on Saturday evening.

Juventus vs Napoli: Prediction
This game will be a real test for both sides. For Juventus, it will indeed be a way to see how the Bianconeri deal with a formidable opponent – and especially one who beat them at their own ground last term.
For Napoli, it will be a chance to close the gap on the league leaders early on in the season, as they certainly don’t want La Vecchia Signora to open the gap to six at this early juncture. A draw would be fine for the hosts as they will still be unbeaten, but there will be that extra bit of incentive to win this game outright as Napoli are a direct rival for the Scudetto.
