Juventus vs Lazio
2017/18 Italian Serie A.
Date: Saturday, 14 October 2017
Kick-Off: 17:00 UK,
Venue: Allianz Stadium (Turin).
After a brief pause for the international break, Juventus will take on Lazio at the Allianz Stadium. This will be the first of three huge games this weekend for calcio fans, and the Bianconeri have a very busy week ahead of them as they will resume Champions League action in just a few days’ time against Portuguese outfit Sporting CP.
La Vecchia Signora ended up drawing their last fixture 2-2 with Atalanta and thus saw their perfect start to the season end. As a result, they now have slipped two points behind Napoli, but the Partenopei are facing a tough away fixture against Roma and could end up dropping points as well this weekend. Given their strong record at home, Juventus are looking still like the favorites to come out on top, but Lazio have been quite impressive this season. The Biancocelesti have won their two Europa League fixtures and have lost just one out of their last five Serie A matches.
Simone Inzaghi’s men notably crushed AC Milan 4-1 only a few round back and presently sit in fourth, plus, they have already defeated Juventus earlier this season in the Supercoppa Italiana. Ciro Immobile in particular has been in inspired form and Lazio fans will hope that the Italian, who has netted nine goals so far, will be able to pick up right where he left off after the international hiatus.
Of course, Paulo Dybala, who leads the scoring charts will be the go-to man for Juventus and with 10 goals in just seven league appearances, the young Argentinian international will be eager to add to his growing tally. Dybala also has a knack for netting against Lazio – dating back to his first goal for Juventus in the 2015 Supercoppa Italiana.

Juventus vs Lazio: Prediction
Juventus currently find themselves in second, but they can temporarily overtake Napoli with a win here. La Vecchia Signora haven’t been as solid defensively but all of their goals conceded have been in their travels.
Lazio, meanwhile, have netted 19 goals so far, and that put them third behind Napoli’s 25 and Juve’s 20. They could become the first side to breach Juve’s back line at Allianz Stadium, but the Bianconeri are quite a formidable force at home.
Having lost the Supercoppa Italiana, Juve will be loath to lose yet again to Inzaghi’s troops – and especially not in front of their home support.
