Juventus vs Cagliari
Italian Serie A.
Date: Saturday 3 November 2018
Kick-Off: 19:30 UK,
Venue: Allianz Stadium (Turin).
Juventus will take on Manchester United in the Champions League next week, but first the Bianconeri will have to contend with visiting Cagliari. La Vecchia Signora’s last home game saw them draw 1-1 with Genoa, as they clearly had one eye on their trip to Old Trafford and it cost them two points.
Whilst it didn’t cost them their lead at the top of Serie A, as Napoli also drew with Roma, it’s pretty clear they have focused on winning the Champions League and will have one eye on their clash with the Red Devils.
Juve haven’t looked at their best lately as they actually fell behind against Empoli and needed star striker Cristiano Ronaldo to bail them out. Thanks to his double, they earned a win, but had to work harder against the relegation candidates than expected, and Cagliari will hope to cause problems, but it will take a really monumental performance.
Not that the Sardinians won’t try. They’re unbeaten in their last three games, after all. As such, they will try to emulate what Genoa did and at least nick a point, as so far they have managed to snatch a point from Fiorentina on the road.
On either side of that game, the Rossoblu beat Bologna and bottom-ranked Chievo to make it seven points from their last three games, and what they will try to do is keep the score-line as low as possible as they are definitely going to concede at least one goal at Allianz Stadium.
Juventus are still unbeaten across all competitions this season, despite dropping two points against Genoa, and have yet to concede a goal in the Champions League.
Having conceded a measly three goals at the Allianz Stadium so far – against Genoa, Sassuolo, and Napoli – it will take something special from Cagliari to really upset that balance on Saturday.

Juventus vs Cagliari: Prediction
Juventus did slip up against Genoa, and that was a shock in itself, but clearly they were already focused on their upcoming tie with Manchester United.
Now with one foot already in the round of 16 after beating the Red Devils at Old Trafford, although they will still be somewhat focused on the visit from the Premier League giants, they won’t want to leave anything to chance here as they have not looked at their best in their last two games.
Nonetheless, even not playing at their best, they’re still getting results and with Cagliari not being the highest scoring side – coupled with Juve’s strong defense, the hosts should get back to winning ways here with confidence in front of their home support.
