Bayern Munich have won the Champions League title five times in total, with the latest in 2013. They were semi-finalists in 2014 and 2015 and are the most consistent teams in the competition in recent years. They are once again running away with the Bundesliga title after taking themselves 9 points clear off second placed Dortmund.

The clash between Europe’s powerhouses also mark the return of Bayern Munich duo Arturo Vidal and Kingsley Coman to return to their former club. Meanwhile, Juventus have an ex-Bayern striker Mario Mandzukic in their ranks who switched sides from Atletico Madrid this summer.

Martín Cáceres is injured and is certain to miss the game. While the likes of Mario Mandzukic, Giorgio Chiellini, Alex Sandro, Sami Khedira and Juan Cuadrado are doubtful for this clash.

Massimiliano Allegri is expected to deploy his favorite 4-4-2 formation with Morata getting a chance to start alongside Dybala in the attacking front.

Bayern head-coach Pep Guardiola will be without the services of Jerome Boateng, Javi Martínez, Holger Badstuber and Sven Ulreich due to their respective injuries.

While Mehdi Benatia is fit after recovering from his injury, while long term absentee Mario Gotze is also pushing for a start.

The Spanish coach has ample problems in the center of defense and we may once again see the youngster Joshua Kimmich pairing with Alaba in the center of defense. Vidal and Thiago could partner in midfield, with Muller, Costa and Robben occupying the line of attack behind Lewandowski.

Juventus vs Bayern Munich : Head to Head

Juventus vs Bayern Munich Head to Head Stats Champions League Match 23 Feb 2016 by LeagueLane

Bayern met Juventus in the quarter finals of 2012/13 season, with Bavarians winning both leg of the tie by the same 2-0 scoreline.

The team were drawn together in the Group A of 2009/10 edition of the competition, where Bayern comprehensively beating Juventus 4-1 at Turin before drawing a blank in the first leg.

The current Serie A champions have only lost only twice at home in 45 home games in Europe since 2004/05 season, both coming against Bayern Munich.

Juventus vs Bayern Munich – Prediction

The outcome of this match is tough to predict as both teams are in good form. At the same time, neither of them come up against strong teams in their league week-in week-out. And this makes the clash an interesting proposition.

Bayern Munich must be going into this match as heavy favorites considering their history of trouncing the Bianconeri at their home in recent outings. Juventus on the other hand, are a mere shadow of what they used to be in last seasons, but their results in group stage shows they are still a force to reckon in Europe.

I predict this one to end in a draw, and expect teams to make a conservative start and open up the game as they go into the second half.
