Israel’s World Cup qualifiers will start with a hard task as they host Italy at Sammy Ofer Stadium Haifa. The Israeli team have been on a poor form in their recent games, they are on a 4 game losing streak. They last tasted victory a year ago in 4-0 win against Andorra. They will need a miracle to withstand the Italians.

Anthony Martial opened the scoring in 17th minute, but Pelle equalised in the 21st minute. Israel vs Italy: Prediction

Italy are strong favourites in this game, though they lost their last 2 games. They have won only 2 of their last 5 games, and have kept clean sheets in the 2 games. However they are way better than their host.

Israel are on a very poor form, having seen victory a year ago. They winless in their last 5 game with a draw and 4 defeats. They have conceded at least 2 goals in their last 4 games. Furthermore, they have conceded a total of 10 goals in their last 4 games. They will need a miracle to overcome the Italians in this fixture considering their poor form.

I predict a win for the visitors and I expect a clean sheet from them

  1. Italy win to nil and over 2.5 goals? Italy don’t record 3-0 victories on the road. Could well happen, but it will be an exception. This coming from an Italian as well.

    • The minimum number of goals Israel has conceded in each of their last four matches is 2. Well, do you think Italy score 1 goal and pack their defence ? Sometimes you need to think outside the box.
