Israel and Albania have practically lost all hopes of catching of making an appearance at 2018 World Cup in Russia as soon as they saw the draw which dealt them the likes of Spain and Italy in group G.
The hosts, however, still have theoretical chances as they were pretty dominant against the rest of the teams in the group.
Israel showed pretty impressive attacking performances during the three-win streak over FYR Macedonia, Liechtenstein and Albania.
Elisha Levy’s men, however, disappointed their fans with a poor display in a 1-1 draw with Moldova in mid-week’s friendly.
Levy will be handicapped since hi star man Tomer Hemed will skip the fixture and leave Ben Sahar as the number one option in the final third.
Ben Sahar has had a tremendous campaign in this season with Hapoel Be’er Sheva and he was on target in the mentioned draw with Moldova on Tuesday.
Albania just can’t seem to find the breakthrough after a shock qualification to EURO 2016 in France.
The team led by Giovanni De Biasi suffered their fifth consecutive defeat on Sunday when Luxembourg clinched a 2-1 victory Stade Josy Barthel.
Israel vs Albania: Head to head
The November’s clash was the first ever H2H meeting between the two sides. Israel completely dominated the pitch grabbing unexpectedly comprehensive 0-3 win at Elbasan Arena.
