Iraq vs Bolivia
Date: Tuesday, 20 November 2018
Kick-Off at 16:00 UK / 17:00 CET
Venue: Sheikh Khalifa International Stadium (Al Ain).
Iraq and Bolivia will hit the court for the last time in 2018 on Tuesday afternoon when they take on each other in a low-profile friendly on the neutral venue of Sheikh Khalifa International Stadium in Al ain (United Arab Emirates).
It will be Iraq’s lone test in November ahead of the Asian Cup kick off in January next year. The hosts will thus be highly motivated to pick up a result against the South American opposition here. The Lions of Mesopotamia had two tough checks in October when they lost 0-4 to Argentina and played a 1-1 draw to Saudi Arabia. The draw against the World Cup contestants will certainly be of a massive importance confidence wise. We also have to mention Iraq’s fine form at the very end of Asian World Cup Qualifications as they took seven points in last three rounds of the campaign against the likes or Japan, Thailand and UAE.
Iraq vs Bolivia: Head-to-head
The two teams will lock horns for the first time ever on Tuesday.
Iraq vs Bolivia: Prediction
We can say the visitors will come into this in lower spirits. They won just one of last 11 games (3-0 against Myanmar in a friendly). Unlike their rivals, they were in action in November playing a goalless draw to United Arab Emirates on Friday. The head coach Cesar Farias was disappointed with the display of his attackers, particularly Gilbert Alvarez who failed to find the back of the net in last 13 outings for club and national team.
La Verde have limited attacking options and we would not be surprised to see them struggle to break the deadlock past the highly-motivated Iraqi side here. The Lions of Mesopotamia lost just one of past six matches. Four of these, however, ended without a winner and the draw is the most likable of outcomes in the first ever head to head tie between these two likes.
