Inter vs SPAL
2017/18 Italian Serie A.
Date: Sunday, 10 September 2017
Kick-Off: 11:30 UK,
Venue: Stadio Giuseppe Meazza (Milan).
With the international break now finished, Inter will hope to continue their strong start to the new season as they take on newly promoted SPAL on Sunday afternoon at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
So far, it’s been two games, two wins for the Nerazzurri under Luciano Spalletti’s tenure. It hasn’t been an easy fixture list for Inter, either, who first took on Fiorentina and then Roma, but they handled both challenges without much trouble, first sweeping aside the Tuscan outfit 3-0 and then impressively overpowering the Giallorossi to earn a well-deserved 3-1 victory away from home.
Meanwhile, SPAL have started off life in the top flight on pretty solid footing as well. This marks their first ever return to Serie A after nearly 50 years, and so far, they have earned four points from their first two games. First was a pretty impressive scoreless draw with Lazio on opening day, followed by a win against Udinese. Veteran striker Marco Borriello continues his knack for scoring wherever he goes; his opener for SPAL before the international hiatus means that he has scored for 12 different clubs in Serie A.
So far, of the three newly promoted sides, SPAL are faring the best thus far in the nascent season. They will be hoping that the experienced Borriello will be able to keep firing in the goals, despite his advancing years as they aim to remain afloat in the top flight beyond this season, but obviously that will be much easier said than done as they prepare to take on the Nerazzurri this weekend.

Inter Milan vs SPAL: Prediction
Inter have never lost to SPAL at home and they certainly are not going to do so on Sunday. The visitors will try their best to park the bus in a bid to try to hold out for a point like they did against Lazio, but the Nerazzurri are a stronger side than the Biancocelesti. Luciano Spalletti’s side have already steamrolled Fiorentina and Roma and should be able to pick up all three points here and move on to the next fixture.
