Inter Milan vs Roma
Italy – Serie A
Date: Friday, 6 December 2019
Kick-off at 19:45 UK / 20:45 CET
Venue: Stadio Giuseppe Meazza – San Siro (Milan).
Even though Roma are boasting fantastic defensive record on the road, conceding less than a goal per match, I’m confident they won’t be able to contain one of the league’s best attacking duos – Lukaku and Martinez have scored 18 of Inter’s 31 goals this season.

Inter Milan vs Roma: Prediction
Inter Milan are back at the top of the Serie A table after a 2-1 home victory over Gli Spalini. This time around, it was Romelu Lukaku’s partner in crime, Lautaro Martinez, who stole the show by bagging a brace in the first half.
With an eye-catching record of 12 wins, 1 draw and 1 defeat thus far, the Nerazzurri, currently riding a five-game winning streak, are one point ahead of Juventus and seven points clear of Lazio.
The Scudetto contenders have 5-1-1 record at Giuseppe Meazza stadium this season, averaging 1.86 goals scored per game, whilst conceding 0.86. They’ve won their last two home fixtures and more than 70% of their games at this venue had over 2.5 goals.
Sanchez, Gagliardini and Barella are surely out for the hosts; Sensi is unlikely to make the bench.
The Giallorossi are in good form of their own, winning five of their last six matches. After beating Instanbul Basaksehir 3-0 in all-important Europa League clash in Turkey, Paulo Fonseca’s men went on to claim three points at Marc’Antonio Bentegodi vs impressive newcomer, Hellas Verona. With 28pts to their name, Roma are occupying the 5th place on the Serie A ladder.
Team from the capital have recorded four wins, two draws and one loss on their travels so far, netting 1.57 goals per game and shipping 0.71. They have scored 10 goals in last four away fixtures across competitions.
Zappacosta and Cristante are long-term absentees for the visiting side, Pastore is highly doubtful to make the trip, Kluivert will be evaluated.
Both sides have been involved in some high-scoring matches recently and I expect to see more of the same on Friday.
Even though Roma are boasting fantastic defensive record on the road, conceding less than a goal per game, I’m confident they won’t be able to contain one of the league’s best attacking duos – Lukaku and Martinez have scored 18 of Inter’s 31 goals this season.
Head-to-head results and Nerazzurri’s recent form strongly suggest goals on both ends, and that will be my second bet here.
