Inter Milan vs Parma
2018/19 Italian Serie A.
Date: Saturday 15 September 2018
Kick-Off: 14:00 UK,
Venue: Stadio Guiseppe Meazza (Milan).
With one win, one draw, and one loss, Inter will hope to get their season on track as they take on a Parma side still seeking their first win of the campaign on Saturday evening.
Having made some interesting signings this summer, the Nerazzurri were hoping to come flying out of the gates. Luciano Spalletti’s side were the beneficiaries of Italy getting four teams back in the Champions League this term but so far domestically they haven’t impressed and already have fallen behind Juventus in the early battle for the Scudetto.
Inter will hope that the international break will have done them some good as they have not faced any of the big sides, but instead of picking up nine easy points they have earned just four, although they did earn a resounding 3-0 win over Bologna last round.
However they ended up losing to Sassuolo and throwing away a 2-0 lead against Torino and thus will need to make sure they don’t lose their focus against Parma.
Next up on the menu is a very tough Champions League tie with Tottenham, and Spalletti will need to ensure that despite the fact that his side will be anxious about that game that they will have to give their all for this must-win tie.
Parma, for their part did perform well against Juventus but ended up nonetheless losing that fixture. They fought hard to secure a draw with Udinese, but ultimately the Crociati, who are back in Serie A for the first time in several seasons are in for a long and tough battle to avoid the drop.
That being said this will be a game that Inter cannot afford to take lightly. Parma are here knowing that they do face a tough battle for survival but nonetheless having had to fight their way back from Serie D the Crociati certainly will not want to return back to Serie B.
