Inter Milan vs Parma: Prediction
Inter Milan bounced back from a derby d’Italia loss to Juventus with a 4-3 win over slumping Sassuolo. Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez bagged two goals each in Nerazzurri’s 7th win of the season.
Inter remained 2nd in the Serie A standings with one point behind the leaders, Juve, and four points above Atalanta. Antonio Conte’s men have confirmed their revival with a 2-0 victory over German powerhouse Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.
Alexis Sanchez and D’Ambrosio will miss the tie vs Parma, whilst Sensi is doubtful.
Parma moved to 8th position after an emphatic 5-1 win over free-falling Genoa side. The Danish International Andreas Cornelius came off the bench for injured Roberto Inglese to score a hat-trick vs Rossoblu’s. Atalanta loanee is now Parma’s leading goalscorer with 4 goals. The Gialloblu’s will be hoping for the same result as last year (1-0) when they take on Inter at San Siro this weekend.
Inglese, Bruno Alves and Laurini are out with injuries, Cornelius is questionable with thigh strain.
The Nerazzurri have an average of 3.13 goals on their games this season. They have the second best goalscoring record with 18 goals to their name. With the win-draw-lose record of 3-0-1 at San Siro, Inter are one of the most successful home teams in the league. They’re scoring 1.75 goals per game at this venue, whilst conceding 0.50.
The Gialloblu’s have an average of 3 goals on their games. They have 1-0-2 record on the road with an average of 1 goal scored per game, whilst conceding slightly more – 1.33 per bout. With Inglese out and Cornelius doubtful, they might have to rely on Gervinho to produce some magic on the wings.
I’ll willing to back Inter in Asian Handicap here. Props to Parma for last week’s win, but I can’t see them pulling an upset here. Losing their captain and star defender Bruno Alves is a massve blow I’m positive Inter will exploit that.
With 3-0 or 3-1 hunch, I’ll also take over 2.75 here and back Lautaro Martinez to bag anytime. Former Racing Club striker has bagged five goals in last four games for the Nerazzurri.
