Indonesia vs Vietnam Prediction
Simon McMenemy’s men have got to a dismal start in the qualifiers, and have been admitting defeat in their previous three games in a running. Their last clash on the road saw them hammered by United Arab Emirates who slotted five unanswered goals past them. Prior to that fixture, the hosts were at the losing end of a 3-0 scorecard at the hands of Thailand.
Indonesia are currently are the bottom of the ladder, and are four points behind Vietnam who are sitting third behind Thailand and UAE.
Their counterparts for the week are unbeaten in their campaign so far and have garnered four points from a possible six. The visitors picked up their first win last week at home with a narrow 1-0 victory over Malaysia, while their only other matchup against Thailand ended in a stalemate.
Nevertheless, Vietnam have certainly been showing a lot more promise in their clashes as opposed to the hosts. They have lost just once in their previous five trips on the road, that too in all competitions. Given the losing streak that the hosts are on at the moment, the win is more than likely to swing in favor of Vietnam at the last blast of the whistle.
However, the visitors have not come out on top in any of their last four visits to Indonesian soil. Considering that they have forced the hosts to share the spoils in half of those trips, a double chance is by far the safest punt in this one.
Furthermore, the hosts have found the back of the net in three of their last four head to head clashes. Taking into account that Vietnam have just two clean sheets to boast of from their last eight outings, count on Indonesia to grab a consolation goal at the least this Tuesday.
