Hibernian vs St Johnstone
Scotland – Premiership
Date: Saturday, 14 Marc 2020
Kick-off at 15:00 UK / 16:00 CET
Venue: Easter Road Stadium (Edinburgh).
Sixth-placed Hibernian welcome in-form St. Johnstone, unbeaten in seven league league matches, to the Easter Road Stadium on Saturday.
The Hibees’ Europa League bid took a serious blow as they fell to their second straight Premiership defeat, going down 1-3 to fourth-placed Aberdeen.
They are now eight points off of the Dons and their chances of clinching European qualifications via league are rather slim. With three games to go before the league splits in half, Hibernian is in sixth, a single point ahead of their next opponents – St. Johnstone.
Jack Ross’ side have picked up 22 points from possible 45 at this venue, winning five, drawing seven and losing three games, averaging 1.73 goals scored per bout, whilst conceding 1.47 in return. They have lost their latest home game to city rivals – Hearts 1-3.
Well-coached St. Johnstone, on the other hand, continues to impress as they stretched their unbeaten streak in the league to seven games following a 1-0 home victory over Livingston.
The Perth-based outfit, now seventh in the standings, have picked up thirteen points during that span and improved their Goals For and Goals Against numbers considerably.
A win on Saturday would move them into sixth place with a legitimate chances of clinching Championship Round.
The Saints have posted three wins, six draws and four defeats on their travels this season, scoring 0.69 and conceding 1.54 goals per match on average.

Hibernian vs St. Johnstone: Prediction
Hibernian have no problem scoring goals at Easter Road Stadium, but neither do their opponents.
73 percent of their home matches had BTTS – Yes and with St. Johnstone’s goalscoring record of late – averaging 1.43 goals scored per game over the last seven league outings- I’m willing to look for goals on both sides.
The visitors are tough to beat as they recorded just two defeats since December and lost only one of their last seven road games. This should be a tight one, and with a 1-1 score line hunch, I’ll back the Saints to earn at least a point on Saturday.
