Hibernian vs Kilmarnock
2018/19 Scottish Premiership
Date: Saturday, 15th September 2018
Kick-off at 15:00 UK/ 16:00 CET
Venue: Easter Road (Edinburgh).
Hibernian will play host to Kilmarnock on Saturday afternoon as the two teams are eager to get another 3 points on their cards.
The two sides faced each other 4 times last season which resulted to 2 wins for the Hibs and 2 draws. However, Killie are slightly better than their hosts so far this season and hopes to get a first win against Hibernian since 2014.
Kilmarnock reached their highest league finish since 2007 last season courtesy of the new manager Steve Clarke who took over in October last year. They picked up just 3 points in the opening 8 games in theta season but Steve turned things around for Killie. They managed to beat Rangers and Celtic and superbly won 46 points from their possible 69 points in the last 23 games.
This new season, Kilmarnock picked up from where they left off last term with two important 2-0 wins over Aberdeen and St Johnstone. They have drawn goalless against new side Livingston and lost 1-0 to Hearts as Gary Dicker was sent off that game.
Hibs will hope to maintain their dominance over Kilmarnock despite Killie’s recent form. They will hope their attacking quality will turn the opposition defence inside out.
The Hibs already have bagged 25 goals in 11 games this season though most of the goals have come in European games and not domestically.
Hibernian opened the season with 3-0 victory over Motherwell but drew 1-1 against Aberdeen and St Johnstone afterwards.
They lost to new side St Johnstone which seems like their worst performance in a while domestically. Hibs will be eager to bounce back with this game.
