Hannover vs Stuttgart
Date: Saturday, 6 October 2018
Kick-Off at 14:30 UK / 15:30 CET
Venue: HDI-Arena (Hannover).
Hannover held Werder and Dortmund to draws in opening two rounds only to lose the following four Bundesliga games. Two points from six outings is enough only for the rock-bottom of the league ladder. The Reds are the only team in the division without a single victory after six rounds and they’ll be hoping to change in on Saturday when fellow strugglers Stuttgart come to visit HDI-Arena.
The visitors were also winless after five matches, but they managed the inaugural victory last weekend against Werder Bremen. Anastasios Donis and Gonzalo Castro were goalscorers in a narrow and much-important victory for Die Schwaben.
Hannover vs Stuttgart: Head-to-head
- Stuttgart lead the head to head tie by five wins ahead of their landmark 60th encounter with the Reds.
- Teams shared spoils in two 1-1 draws in the previous term of Bundesliga.
- It is interesting to mention that Hannover 96 dominated this match-up when it comes to matches at HDI-Arena.
- The Reds won 14, drew 10 and lost just 5 of 29 home games against Die Schwaben.
Hannover vs Stuttgart: Prediction
Stuttgart have been playing hot and cold ever since the season began which is why their matches are usually hard to predict. Die Schwaben failed to find the net in three of four games before bagging two past Werder last Saturday.
We feel Tayfun Korkut’s men should have plenty of room to create pats the struggling defense of Hannover’s here. The Reds shipped three or more goals on three separate occasions in last four Bundesliga ties. Moreover, they allowed as many as seven in last two defeats to Hoffenheim and Eintracht Frankfurt.
Given Stuttgart generally struggled to perform well on travels last season (5 wins, 2 draws and 10 defeats), we’ll skip backing the visitors to snatch the spoils. Instead, backing a high-scoring contest looks to be just the way to go given it’s fair to say both teams are vulnerable at the back.
