Halmstad vs Sundsvall
Sweden – Allsvenskan
Date: Saturday, 22nd July 2017
Kick off at 15:00 UK/ 16:00 CET
Venue: Orjans Vall.
Halmstad will host GIF Sundsvall in the match of a huge importance for both teams in the Allsvenskan’s relegation battle.
The hosts are in a much tougher position being only a single-point away from the rock-bottomed AFC Eskilstuna and a victory against fellow strugglers would mean the world to Igor Krulj and his men.
However, grabbing three points will require a stand-up performance from the hosts who are winless in last 14 league outings.
Krulj has huge troubles with his team’s efficiency in the final third as Halmstad obviously lacks a predator who would bag at least ten goals in the season.
This is why the team failed to find the net in seven of their last 14 matches.
Sundsvall have barely managed to save the elite class status last year, but they made a major step towards accomplishing the prime goals last weekend when they saw off Halmstad in the last match of the first part of the season.
Joel Cedergren’s men had a strong run during the break as they bagged seven goals in back-to-back wins in friendlies against Hammarby and Ostersunds.
A somewhat tougher schedule prevented them in making the positive kick off after the break as they lost narrowly to both Sirius and Djurgarden (top half teams) before beating Halmstad.
Halmstad vs Sundsvall: Head to head
Teams have eight wins each in 21 head to head matches after Sundsvall’s highly-important 1-0 victory last weekend at Norrporten Arena.
It was right winger Eric Larsson who made the difference netting his first goal of the season for Giffarna.
Halmstad vs Sundsvall: Prediction
We expect a very similar match to the one the fans could have watched seven days ago.
It will be a nervous fixture with one or none goals to make the difference since the stakes are too big and since none of the sides can be proud of their attacking options.
Halmstad vs Sundsvall: Bet Tips
