Greece vs Switzerland
Date: Friday, 23 March 2018
Kick-Off at 19:00 UK
Venue: St. Jakob-Park (Basel).
Switzerland will be looking to boost up the confidence with two wins in this window of international friendlies. La Nati are about to lock horns with the likes of Greece and Panama and victories in these two games would raise the spirits ahead of the tough World Cup matches against Brazil, Serbia and Costa Rica.
Greece, on the other side, are still looking to find the momentum after skipping the second consecutive tournament. Michael Skibbe’s men have generally had a dismal campaign in the WC Qualification Group, but were lucky to come second at the end. Nonetheless, the team showed the lack of quality to stay competitive in the playoffs legs with Croatia who have closed the tie in the first game on their soil claiming a demolishing 4-1 victory.
The Swiss team had a tremendous run in their respective group, but as many as nine wins were not enough for Vladimir Petkovic’s men to book direct tickets for Russia. La Nati had to go to the playoffs where they’ve shown stern defensive displays keeping clean sheets in both matches against Northern Ireland (1-0 on aggregate). Switzerland are generally very tough to break down and we would be surprised to see the Greeks on the scoreline here.

Greece vs Switzerland: Prediction
Switzerland have been much more consistent over the last couple of years, they have more or less dominated the match-up with Greece, and we must see them as favourites to clinch the victory here at the 2.10 odds.
We will alternatively take Switzerland to keep a clean sheet at 2.20.
