Granada vs Valencia
Spanish La Liga
Date: Sunday, 9th April 2017
Kick off at 11:00 UK/ 12:00 CET
Venue: Estadio Nuevo Los Carmenes.
Valencia managed to escape the relegation scrap with back-to-back wins over Deportivo La Coruna and Celta de Vigo.
The victory over the relegation-threatened Granada would definitely seal the deal for Salvador Voro and his men.
The hosts can’t allow a failure this Sunday because they are seven points below safety with eight games left to play in Primera Division.
Granada have been in a dismal streak of four consecutive losses in a rather tough schedule as they had to play Atletico Madrid and Barcelona in the last two home fixtures.
The mid-week has seen Lucas Alcaraz and his men holding Deportivo La Coruna to a goalless drew at Riazor.
Keeping the second consecutive clean sheet will be one hell of a task for Granada against Valencia who have been on a thrilling attacking form over the last couple of weeks.
The Bats netted as many as three goals in each of the wins over Deportivo and Celta. Munir, who is the team’s top scorer, was on target scoring the second goal against the Sky Blues on Thursday, while Dani Parejo and Carlos Soler also managed to find the back of the net.
Granada vs Valencia: Head to head
Valencia have been more than dominant in head to head encounters with Granada.
The Bats have 11 wins in 13 games and Granada are yet to celebrate their first ever victory.
The clash from the first part of the season, however, saw Granada pulling out a 1-1 draw at Mestalla.
Granada vs Valencia: Prediction
Valencia will be favourites to maintain the fine form and pick up the third consecutive victory.
The hosts are desperate to collect points, but they don’t have the defensive capacity to hold the red-hot Valencia’s attack.
Granada vs Valencia: Bet Tips
The first betting pick will be Valencia Over 1.5 team goals at the odds of 10/11.
