Granada vs Osasuna: Preview and Prediction

Granada vs Osasuna: Preview, Predictions and Betting Tips-15th January 2017

Granada vs Osasuna
Spanish La Liga
Date: Sunday, 15th January 2017
Kick-Off at 17:30 UK/ 18:30 CET
Venue: Estadio Nuevo Los Carmenes, Granada.

This is going to be a huge one for both teams. Granada and Osasuna are the weakest teams in the top flight of Spanish football and they will take on each other in a six-pointer on Sunday afternoon at Nuevo Los Carmenes. Osasuna will enter the match in a somewhat better mood after they managed to grab a last gasp point against Valencia in the last match of the 17th round of Primeira Division. The new manager Petar Vasiljevic thus managed to end the team’s poor run of six consecutive defeats with a draw on his debut at El Sadar.

Granada, on the other hand, have lost three in a row. They started the year with a disaster at Santiago Bernabeu as Real Madrid scored as many as four goals in the first half to prove the class difference. Lucac Alcaraz, who took charge of the team in October last year, will have one hell of a task to save Granada in the elite mainly because most of his starting XI are loaned players. It is, however, interesting to note that Granada have been undefeated on home court in four consecutive matches prior to the loss to Real Sociedad.

Granada vs Osasuna: Head-to-Head Stats

Osasuna managed to get back from losing the first leg in the last 32 round of Copa del Rey and go through to the next stage with a 2 – 0 win over Granada in Pamplona. These were their first head to head clashes since the 2013/14 season when both sides were Primeira Division members. Interestingly none of the last three matches between the two teams offered the option of both teams scoring.

Granada vs Osasuna: Prediction

Granada are 17/20 to claim the victory, which does not have any value in our opinion, in spite of the fact they have been playing much better on home court than on the road. There is just no reasoning behind backing the home win knowing that they have lost three in a row without scoring a single goal.

We’d advise you to go with the draw as the number one pick and Under 2.5 goals as an alternative because this is going to be a very nervous game without much football to be seen.

Granada vs Osasuna: Betting Tips
