Getafe vs Barcelona
Spain – LaLiga
Date: Saturday, 28 September 2019
Kick-off at 15:00 UK/ 16:00 CET
Venue: Coliseum Alfonso Perez (Getafe).
After getting defeated on the road by a newly-promoted Granada, the reigning champions brought things under control by a satisfactory performance at home to post three points against Villarreal. But the price it cost was a bit too much. And the rushed return of talisman Lionel Messi resulted in another injury. This would see the Argentinean sitting out a further two weeks.
And, on top of that, they are once again away from the comforts of Camp Nou, and it seems as if the problems faced by the Blaugrana on the road are getting severe. They need to figure out problems soon, or else face humiliation probably once again in their quest for glory.
Considering that the opponents are Getafe, who had ended up fifth in the table last season, just two points short of a Champions League ticket, affairs would not be easy at all for the Spanish title-holders.
Moreover, the hosts of the day have lost just once this league run, and at present, they are unbeaten in their prior five match-days.

Getafe vs Barcelona Prediction
It might be hard to believe, but Ernesto Valverde’s men have not recorded a single win on the road this season so far. In fact, their last official victory away from home came back in April of last year.
While it’s tempting to back an away win this weekend, taking into account the history Barca has, it’d be unwise to back them at the moment. Moreover, Jose Bordalas’s men are unbeaten in their last 11 home ties on the trot and were so in 20 of their previous 22.
Moreover, 16 of these 22 were wins as well. As such, coupled with the huge problems Valverde’s men are facing at the back in addition to Jordi Alba’s absence, count on them to concede a goal before half time itself. Also, keep in mind that they have the second-worst returns so far as goal-conceding is concerned.
Going on though, with the arrivals of Ousmane Dembele, and Luis Suarez back from injury, to add to the quality that Antoine Griezmann adds at the front, it’s building up to be a game with goals at either end of the pitch.
