Germany vs Brazil
International Friendlies
Date: Tuesday, 27 March 2018
Kick-Off at 19:45 UK
Venue: Olympiastadion Berlin (Berlin).
The German capital is set to host the mouth-watering clash on Tuesday as the reigning World Cup champions are to play the likes of Brazil. Both teams have been superior in their respective qualifying processes and these two are no doubts amongst the main favourites for the trophy this summer in Russia.
Die Mannschaft had a perfect record with ten wins in ten games in the Group C scoring an impressive tally of 43 goals in 10 matches (only four conceded along the way). Nonetheless, Joachim Low’s men will be hoping to end the run of three consecutive draws in friendlies (against the likes of England, France and Spain). It was team’s top scorer in the qualifying campaign Thomas Muller who has managed to find the back of the net in Friday’s friendly against Spain. Interestingly, Sandro Wagner did not get even a single minute on the pitch. It will be very interesting to see if Low will use Bayern Munich’s forward against Brazil here.
Selecao have shown their class in the 0-3 drubbing of World Cup hosts Russia on Friday. Barcelona’s duo (Paulinho and Philippe Coutinho) stole the show bagging a goal each after Joao Miranda broke the deadlock right after the break. Tite used the best possible squad (if we don’t count injured Neymar) and we expect the same lineup here against Germany.
Germany vs Brazil: Head-to-head
The two giants have met each other in a host of super important matches over the history.
This will, interestingly, be their first meeting since Germany’s demolishing 1-7 victory over Selecao at the World Cup 2014 on the Brazilian soil.
Interestingly, each of last five H2H encounters have seen both teams on the scoreline.
Germany vs Brazil: Prediction
We have to expect goals with such firepower on display. Since each of last five H2H ties saw the BTTS bet “land”, we’ll take this pick as the main betting option at the odds of 1.72.
Also, Brazil looked much better on Friday and we have to see the value in backing them not to lose at the odds of 1.66.
